    • Using all three Reusable Produce Bags once a week saves more than 150 paper or plastic bags from being added to the landfill every year.
    • 3,000 tons of paper towel waste is created every day.  That’s about the weight of 3000 economy cars. And it’s happening day in and day out, every single day.
    • Paper accounts for up to a third of all municipal landfill waste.
    • The average family of four uses about 26 rolls of paper towels a year. That’s an annual expense of approximately $91 for a single-use, throwaway item that is clogging our landfills!
    • The Environmental Working Group (EWG), Dirty Dozen Plus™, list of fruits and vegetables with the most pesticide residues includes: strawberries, apples, nectarines, peaches, celery, grapes, cherries, spinach, tomatoes, sweet bell peppers, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers, as well as hot peppers, kale and collard greens. The EWG suggests buying organic for these items. We say, “even so, use your Veggie and Fruit Scrub Cloth!”
